excerpt from Crossing the Ameri-Con

You catalogue the penis of a memory

On the bedsheets of a tambourine

Grazing upon that tangerine hellfire

Which widens, then withdrawals

Quieting all psalms and songlike structures

The agitprop pleasantly prepared by the paper of record

Whose larynx utters a slew of laughable syllables

Something about friendly fire in a friendly villa

Inhabited not by phantasm but prisms

Prisms of electricity, prisms of thinking

Of the American winner in Paris

Of the deleted repeated world

Looking for the atoms of a cancer

From the top of a mountain range

The band serves up something tasteful

It's a parabolic suppressor

Which focuses the radio frequency from the main horn
